ParticipantWell that’s 3 votes for Ono and 3 votes for Ota… I think Ota tops it with the “Best Restaurant” Zagat award and I find it hard to believe anything is better than Ota but am gonna try Ono and post my thoughts later in another edition of “off topic”. Disclaimer: I’m strongly biased in favor of Ota.

ParticipantI have seen discrimination at other restaurants (like Shirahama the Sushi Nazi) but not at Ota. It’s hard to get a table at Sushi Ota because it’s so popular. I make a year of reservations (one per month) in advance, and I get served personally by Mr. Ota himself. I’ve been going there since 1993 and I’ve seen movie stars, football pros, and tv personalities there. My next reservation is Jan. 3 at 7:30!
