I've been working for 6 months with a junior engineer, this is her first job out of school, and I'm blown away at how much she's learned… She is better than most people with many years of experience under their belts. Sad thing is, management doesn't know how to keep people like this. That's why quitting is always on her mind.

SmellsFeeshy, I guess the Caucasians go there for the spicy chilled jellyfish or chunky duck-blood soup with pig intestines, also on the menu. I do like the jellyfish. In my hermit ways, I always take out and never eat in but only on one occasion have I seen Caucasians dining there when I go to pick up my dumplings. Anyhow I don’t really care, I was just joking about that whitey thing. The food is great, who cares if it’s authentic?
Where do you go that’s more authentic? Not Ba Ren.

ParticipantMy last W2 job back in y2k offered $105k when I had 7 years of experience back then. I started consulting later that year and never went back. I know of many people making over $100k as full time employees. We are telecom ASIC engineers.

The Asian markets have brown rice and rice mixes (rice with legumes and other stuff) which are very tasty, very nutritious, and can also be cooked in the rice steamer.
I’m on a dumpling craze lately, constantly craving “Dumpling Inn” in Clairemont and Chin’s in Miramar. Those are places where I’m usually the only white guy… apparently white people like being the only white in a restaurant. My how I digress.
