ParticipantI and many I know of run processor-intensive engineering applications on AMD-Opteron machines. I think a very cost-efficient platform is to have windows machines vnc or citrixed in to linux servers where you can submit batch jobs to AMD-Opteron machines… I guess I’m biased and the impact on sales due to this methodology is low.
