North County Jim
ParticipantI know the house. It’s a terrible lot. Not only is it puny, but it’s right along Questhaven, which gets a decent amount of traffic.
The backyard is absolutely dominated by an unfinished swimming pool. Check out zillow for a bird’s-eye-view.
All that being said, this is a low price for the area and a harbinger of what’s to come. If you don’t mind the postage stamp lot and have the capital to finish the pool, then it’s probably a good deal today.

ParticipantIf what seller’s agent said is true, which is somewhat suspect, there is no need for us to get into a bidding war in this market anyway.
Whether the agent’s dubious claim was true or not, there’s nothing that says you have to get in a bidding war if you like the house. Why not call the agent’s bluff and submit an offer on your terms?

ParticipantJosh,
I don’t know. It could be related to days between reports. There aren’t consistent 7-day gaps between the reports. The latest report had a 9-day gap from the prior report as did the August 8 report.
