niy38Participant
My best friend lived in Oceanside in a lovely gated community on a hilltop with great views and easy access to the big box stores, Trader Joe’s, etc. It was just a pain in the ass for me and my husband, who live in metro San Diego, to drive up there to have dinner on Friday nights. My best friend and her husband are gourmet cooks. Of course, we would have the same complaint if they moved to Carlsbad. When they moved, they moved to Solana Beach, which is a little bit easier.
I think this board is heavily slanted toward the North County Coast, but I’m just giving you my two cents from a close-to (but not quite) San Diegan.
don’t you think this trivial inconvenience for
dinner is kind of ridiculous ? Oceanside is
in very good location considering its
commuttable distance to San Diego and OC.I didn’t see this board is slanted toward the
north county coast, which is keeping price best

in whole SD.niy38Participanteverywhere has its bad or good hood. The key is
REPUTATION or IMPRESSION of place, that’s
why Oceanside has lower price then Carlsbad.Have you watched the news of last weekend? a guy
was shoot by a cop and sent to hospital in critical
condition? when people think of Oceanside, why
“shooting” always pop up ?I know Oceanside has good places(even with bad
school), but it can not change the whole image
