Thanks for the advice everyone. The owner became irrational when this topic was brought up. We agreed to live out the 2 months we’ve paid for (1st months rent and security deposit) and then go our seperate ways.
It’s a hassle moving out again, however it’s probably better in the long term.

So foreclosure is a valid reason to break the lease? Most people seem to encounter this after their lease transitioned to a month to month lease, whereas I’m right at the start of the lease.
