I haven’t toured Altaire, but I have driven through a few times. I really like this neighborhood on the north side of SEH road. As you mentioned, there are a number of lots that are a pretty good size, and a number of them will have some pretty nice views as well.
We live on the other side of SEH road with a nice view and we love it, especially the access to all of the trails in SEH. It was an easy decision to extend my commute and be either 15 minutes from the 5 or the 15 to move here.

Students are encouraged to take on this debt. Often they are young with little financial sense. So they just keep borrowing and not downsizing their lifestyle appropriately (as mentioned – putting living expenses on the student loans).
The biggest problem with student loans are that they are given to kids who’ve never lived on their own.
Financial education – the basics – should be mandatory in high school as part of the college requirements. Not just 2 years of a foreign language.[/quote]
Another issue is the ease at which a student can place their loans in deferment or forbearance after they get out of school. A student can easily get 36 months of deferment and 36 months of forbearance, and all the interest capitalizes upon entering repayment again. Only authorized periods of deferment will the government pay for the interest on the subsidized loans.
Borrowers that get out of school with $20K in debt, can easily have their balloon to $30K in debt by using these deferment and forbearance periods.
montanaParticipantI realized that I wasn’t in the shape that I needed to be in when 5 of the 6 days of skiing I had this winter were powder days. I’m determined to keep my legs in better shape and be able to get more than 3 runs in without my quads burning up this next winter.
Therefore….
I started running more frequently up and down the hills in my neighborhood and just about died as all I was used to running was around the bay downtown where I used to live. That lead to buying the “Insanity” workout that I did in April and May. Now I am in the best shape I have been in 10 years. Since completing the workout, I now get a 3, 5, and 7 mile run in up and down the hills every week. Except for last week when we put in some serious mileage and elevation in Glacier Park.
montanaParticipantMaybe check our Pure Ayre. I saw this product on Shark Tank and the guy was quite the tool, especially since he didn’t take their offer. Strangely, I am now proposing it…

We decided to go through our insurance and they recommended Caliber located on Kettner Blvd downtown. By going through our insurance approved repair shop, we saved an extra $100 off our deductible. Not only did we save some cash, but Caliber did an excellent job in repair and also in communication with progress on the repair job.
Your expense should be minimal, as you are only looking to have paint done, but it was nice to know that our insurance company would give us an incentive to go their approved shop. As an added bonus, there hasn’t been any increase to our premiums.

montanaParticipantWe purchased our home last December and performed the inspection after approval. There were a number of reasons why I was comfortable that the inspector would find little to no issues with the home. (1) The home was built in 2006, (2) the original owner never occupied the home, (3) the renters had already moved and left the place spotless, (4) our next door neighbor who just closed on their short sale found zero material items in their inspection, and (5) my realtor and I went through the home twice top to bottom (we both are fairly handy) and found four or five immaterial issues. After the inspection, the report listed our six or seven immaterial issues, of which he caught all of the items we found. I didn’t ask for anything and fixed the items myself, probably totaling $250.
