ParticipantMaybe there is an HP/Google engineer listening in on this and will give the people what they want, control over ringback/ringtone choices. I’m pretty sure the FBI can already call a cell phone, have it answer automatically and listen in on whoever they want. If not then maybe they should talk to Rupert Murdoch to learn how it’s done.

ParticipantAnybody know when that info gets updated, looks like 2011 is the latest info.

ParticipantYes, because it’s free anyway.Specifically I want to control ringback/ringtones.

Participant
The real crash hasn’t happened yet; although the 1%ers in CV/RSF and other wealthy coastal areas will not be impacted like the remaining 99%.
How long can the feds keep the rates at 0%?
As long as the Chinese don’t go spending dollars wildly and as long as our T-bills/bonds aren’t downgraded.

ParticipantCA renter thanks for posting exactly what I was thinking. It’s never too late to learn about money, the best way to save money is to not spend it.

ParticipantI think the correct answer would be 10% growth, about the same as I can make in the market in about 3-4 months. So you have to ask yourself, “do you want to spend 5 years to make the same money you could make in a quarter”? P.S.-About the same amount of growth China has yearly. Also the same percentage of my salary that I save yearly. Which will double in 7.2 years. Confession: only save 9% so it takes 8 years to double,if only I could live longer.

ParticipantI’ve been using it for a couple of years and this is the first year I’ve had to do an amended return. For amendments it’s not as straight forward as one would think it should be. I forgot about all the money I made in stocks last year, bummer! Now I’m not sure if the amended amount will be paid automatically the way I originally set it up. Guess I’ll find out April 15th. P.S.- it took the Feds like 15 days to accept my return, could not do an amended return with Turbo tax until the original return was accepted by the Feds, which means I’ll probably get audited again for like the 10th time in a row, usually it’s the state that I have problems with. They never get the same numbers I get.

ParticipantMy guess is he thought they were closing in on him up there so parked the truck and burned it to block the road. Unless he knows someone up there with a cabin, like a lawyer maybe, he will freeze and probably develop frost bite up there. Not a good weekend to go to Big Bear.

Absolutely horrible groupings, they should be ashamed!

ParticipantThe smart ones don’t carry, but I believe many still do carry the prime ones.

ParticipantInterest rates will go up but it won’t be the banks decision. I think there is a correlation between 30 year rates and people getting out of the bond market and back into securities. Right now conventional wisdom seems divided on wether it is going to be a good year for banks or not. I don’t know about this year but in my mind banks that carry mortgages are no different than the bond market, which I think more people are getting the idea to get out of.

ParticipantAgreed, I suspect due to the temporary nature of the construction business a lot of these workers are “not employees”. Legal? Hard to say since I’m not in a position to demand proof, I suspect however that many of them were not.

ParticipantI don’t know anything about Blackstone. Was at a new building lately though and had to ask who was in charge, well seems hardly anyone there spoke english. so so much for money going to hard working skilled Americans.

ParticipantAssuming jumbo loan, 11% of say 500k is 50k more in equity,if margin is 1%(may be more) then there kickback might be additional $500. So i say split the difference and ask for $500. What kind of term are you getting?
