If looking at the 14 year chart for gold/silver http://www.kitco.com/scripts/hist_charts/yearly_graphs.plx it looks like a bubble, if looking at stock price vs. earnings (real, not manipulated) it looks like a bubble, looking at house prices it looks like a bubble, bonds and treasuries don’t yield much, so either we are in japan mode or poised for a depression, neither of which makes me feel good, or hopefully I’m wrong or missed something. One could probably make some money based on market volatility although riskier than is was a few years ago.
moneymakerParticipantWow so not only are we paying less for stuff from China but everyone else is paying less for stuff from us. I did notice bananas went from $1.39 to $1.99 at Costco, which is why i bought red delicious apples, and you know what I think I like them apples.
March 15, 2014 at 6:41 AM in reply to: OT: Should I request mediation or try to get a restraining order… #771882moneymakerParticipantI don’t think threatening restraining order will have any weight, do it or don’t do it, but don’t threaten. By all means talk to a lawyer first. Maybe they have a meth lab going!
moneymakerParticipantThank you for your experience CA, since I’m not well versed in the markets (and I think they behave irrationally) will probably not short anything, I do recall about 10 years ago wanting to buy heavily into gold but did not, big mistake! I don’t have the means yet to “play” the market but just thought I’d give a wake up call to others out there in pigg land.
moneymakerParticipantDoes anybody with solar have any warnings before I do it? This system looks good http://www.solarpanelstore.com/solar-power-packages.cse-medium-grid-tie.enphase_m250_grid_tie_packages.gte_m250_6600.info.1.html
moneymakerParticipantFarbod Barsum sounds like something out of John Carter of Mars.
moneymakerParticipantMaybe buying silver would be a better (safer) bet. At least there is something you can touch and caress. I figure with the low bond yields as soon as the market starts going down people will pile into gold/silver.
moneymakerParticipantI can’t believe credit card companies are charging rates as high as 29.99%. I guess our government can’t interfere if they want to get paid back. I personally would default before paying rates that high in this market.
moneymakerParticipantHas anyone installed their own solar? Interesting read on net metering. Eventually SDGE will not have to accept net metering customers https://www.sdge.com/clean-energy/net-energy-metering/overview-nem-cap My guess is this will happen about the time Fed Credits expire. Of course there could be new legislation by then.
moneymakerParticipantFor me a good job done in a timely manner as promised is all I’m looking for. Found someone who bids labor at $1 a watt, would look for cheaper but am afraid of what I would find.
moneymakerParticipantIf I had the money and time this house would make a great rehab project. The problem would be deciding what stays.
moneymakerParticipantHas anyone that has installed solar regretted it? I think it takes a full year to really know how a system performs, maybe I’m putting too much thought into this and should just pull the trigger. Still no reviews on Costco’s site, if it shows up at GTM I might even install it myself.
moneymakerParticipantI think the reason the “founder” is distancing himself from bitcoin is probably because (educated guess)he used what is considered highly classified crypto code. Of course he can’t comment.
moneymakerParticipantThat used to happen to me all the time too, but as long as you are making money best enjoy that it didn’t go down while you owned it. I always seemed to sell on the upside and never at the peak.
