RV’ing is not cheap when you consider depreciation, insurance, gas, storage, space rental fees at camp grounds, repairs. But we have one and we like it, doing some maintenace on the generator this week.
moneymakerParticipant
Play around with your zillow stats on the home. The price will go up and down based upon what you enter (at least mine did)
When I get my permitted 26K in solar panels in May I’ll see if Zillow takes any of that into account.moneymakerParticipantAny true Californian would sue their ass in court. Only wish I was joking! If I were selling in the near future I would, or get an appraisal done then send them a nasty note.
moneymakerParticipantI think exotic dancers make pretty good money and they like houses with pools, at least that’s how i see it. Put some DVR security cameras outside just in case. The ones they have now on the market are amazing, inexpensive, motion detecting, high resolution, come with app. Of course, then they might think you are the drug dealer.
March 24, 2014 at 7:52 PM in reply to: Study shows mortgage interest deduction doesn’t encourage home ownership #772199moneymakerParticipantPretty sure that for a lot of us the MID is phased out with time, by the time you are halfway through paying on the mortgage the interest is pretty negligible compared to standard deduction, again that is just for most of us, does not apply to people that buy Mac Mansions or can itemize a lot of stuff (business owners).
moneymakerParticipantLast time I checked EDCO would not accept long tube fluorescent bulbs at any of their locations. here’s a GU24 bulb http://www.amazon.com/Feit-A19-800-GU24-LED/dp/B009NCEA98 , a little pricey but said to last a long time.Home Depot has them as well, but for $10 more.
moneymakerParticipantHow could I have left out “soundhound”, that one is so cool!
moneymakerParticipantForgot about “assistive light”, use it so much, I was thinking it was part of Android.
moneymakerParticipantI think Prop 13 is being worked around with special voter approved taxes like MM where special assessments are collected by the city. The most expensive neighborhoods in the county actually have the lowest tax rates, Solana Beach, Del Mar, Coronado. That is because rich people hate taxes. I hate taxes but I’m not rich yet, got the mindset ready however.
P.S.- 2 things that really piss me off about the whole tax structure are paying double taxes and tax loopholes. Maybe when I’m rich the loopholes won’t bother me so much.moneymakerParticipantA good home security system is also a must if keeping hard assets in a safe.
moneymakerParticipantOver half a million and it doesn’t even have a garage.
moneymakerParticipantTake out a Heloc for solar panels, write off the interest, buy a Tesla (keeps Elon Musk out of bankruptcy), of yeah get a tax credit on the solar and maybe even the car, keep the $50,000 in your 2 new safes in the form of silver. Right now I’m thinking I should be a disc jockey as I’m spinning pretty well. P.S.- Don’t forget the combination so when silver hits $50 you can sell right away!
moneymakerParticipantHow about taking that second loaf of bread you get at Costco and head to the beach to feed the seagulls. Of course can grab a couple Subway sandwiches too for you and yours.
moneymakerParticipantI agree with you in theory scaredy but still would not buy this http://www.amazon.com/Ox-Bull-Stainless-Steel-Paper/dp/B00HNXXZH2/ref=sr_1_29?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1394985973&sr=1-29 and I’m going to confess my last wallet I bought at the swap meet for $4.
