True…. And after posting above I checked the wiki and evidently the model 3 gets about 4 mi. to the KWh, but probably not the way outtamojo drives, and only the single rear drive at that.
moneymakerParticipant35 rate changes in the last 9 years https://www.sdge.com/total-electric-rates
My 2015 VW Passat TDI that gets 40 mpg freeway is virtually the same price to run as the Tesla model 3 that averages about 3 mi. per KWh.moneymakerParticipantIs charging really free these days? I was under the impression one has to pay nowadays.
moneymakerParticipantJust noticed my first dividend payout from my ATT stock. Sweet!
moneymakerParticipantWhole house fan is enticing as I think there are better ways to do things than just the way we have always done them. My brother does AC for a living and he says the whole house fans bring in too much dirt/dust, that’s the main reason I haven’t done it yet. Anyone disagree with him?
moneymakerParticipantJust bought some Ford, hope it wasn’t a mistake! At $9.80 it has to go down to $9.20 to lose money considering the dividend.
moneymakerParticipantYes the mileage on my F-150 4×4 suckx. But I would still buy it again when I did. Trumps F the mileage stance should help them. But Ford doesn’t really listen to what people want. There are people that want smaller trucks, hence the past rise in foreign trucks. Check out your gardeners truck, bet it is an import.
ATT forces people to get Direct when they want tv, they should give people a choice. Sure make the dish a little cheaper it they want to entice but don’t force people to get what they don’t want.moneymakerParticipantNext on the radar is F. I am not a fan of the new design of the ford ranger, it reminds me of when they changed the jeep cherokee design. Made it look to curvy, guess they are trying to get women interested in buying, not that they don’t already! If I was running Ford I would put out a small 4 cyclinder diesel like jeep did way back. It would have pulling power and still get 20+ in the city. It would need a beefy transmission so they would of course have to get that right. VW failed there in their early TDI automatics.
moneymakerParticipantMy bet would be recession in 2019! Or it may end up being stagflation.

My problem is I hate to move, if I win the lottery I may have to though. If you were to win the lottery, where would you live? My timing has been really good, because I bought in 2009, got the $8000 stimulus, ref’d to a 15 year at 2.625% and now that my write off is declining I’ll be able to use the higher standard deduction next year, maybe.
moneymakerParticipantSo you would make granny walk up a flight of stairs to get to her place? All kidding aside there seems to be a “lot” of variance as far as inventory. Driving around yesterday I was somewhat surprised how many homes I saw with for sale signs in front of them. Granted half of those may have already sold but seems to me more people are seeing the light and listing their properties.
moneymakerParticipantAs far as I know just need 5000 sq. ft. for each lot to split. Different cities have different requirements. For example in Lemon Grove you need 6000 sq. ft.
moneymakerParticipantThe best way to save is not to spend. The best way to win a war is to not start it. Kuwait was the right thing to do, although I’ll admit at the time I thought it was all about oil. History is hindsight and I have to agree with Trump that the whole middle east conflict is not good for our country…
moneymakerParticipantyeah I remember my dad being really pissed off when I was a kid that he couldn’t buy his own phone, had to rent from ATT or whatever it was called then. Now you can’t hardly find those phones although they were really good phones that would’ve probably lasted 100 years+. Soon no one will have a landline because of the telemarketers ruining it for everyone and the government not doing anything about it. I really should give mine up along with my flip phone but I just ignore the telemarketers and tell myself the flip phone is for emergencies! LOL!
My theory is anytime a company pisses off customers it eventually bites them in the butt. -
