Why don’t they just paint a big red “X” on the diesel gas tank. After taking that out I doubt it would get very far.
moneymakerParticipantearlyretirement- I can understand the shoes, but why would you even ask Amex to cover sunglasses that your wife lost. This to me is either entitlement thinking or fraud. Nothing personal but I just don’t get it and I think that is what has been lost in our society, the sense of personal responsibility. I’m sure there are many that would agree with you, perhaps I’m old school but I would never have asked Amex to reimburse for something “I” lost. Stolen maybe. Wow, just looked up black card, also known as Centurion card. $7500 initiation fee with $2000 annual fee, I’m guessing not too many people have that one.
moneymakerParticipantWhen I said according to the doctors I was referencing a written report from a health screening, just checked my BP after doing the treadmill for 30 minutes then laying down for 15 minutes my BP registered 98/60, so I took it again and it was 93/56. Wow! cured after exercise. Just goes to show that BP can be all over the place.
moneymakerParticipantNeither. But if my hand was forced, I would buy Tesla. Alibaba almost went bankrupt in 2009, not really that long ago. Batteries are the future, I hope Tesla can improve upon them. Given a choice I always like to buy domestic stock. P.S.- I think the next recession could be caused by China.
moneymakerParticipantWikipedia says 120-139 is the prehypertension range. I don’t have a regular doctor, but if I did I’m pretty sure he would say my blood pressure is fine. If he said otherwise I would get another doctor. I weigh 200 lbs dripping wet, which is exactly what I plan to be after hitting the treadmill tomorrow.
moneymakerParticipant
Get a pre-1997 diesel. Problem solved, no smog test required. And Mercedes made some damn nice cars in the early 90s that would last forever :)
Saw a Mercedes 300D today, wow that car is still running and it’s older than my oldest (1988). Used to have a neighbor that only owned these, for good reason.moneymakerParticipant“The one thing I absolutely can’t stand about CA…
The idiotic, bureaucratic CARB rules….”flu- I totally agree with you, now we have to spend twice as much for a pour quality gas can. Where are the good old gas cans?
moneymakerParticipantDitto on older vehicles that run fine, needing new paint. Have an older RV, about the same age as the one used in “RV” probably. Runs great, everything works, just needs a new paint job. Would be willing to go south pending price and recommendations.

Sun
Sol
Not necessarily in that order.
Sol is beer for those who don’t know.moneymakerParticipantI got at least 6 or 7 perfectly good watches but find I only wear the last one bought, which happens to be a Casio Sport Pathfinder 3043. Love it and don’t really plan to buy another watch, though the apple one does sound cool, starting at $349 it’s a little too pricey for me. That’s 3 times the highest price I’ve ever paid for a watch.
moneymakerParticipantI am alright with legalizing all drugs. To me it is the government trying to interfere with personal choice. If you think about it there is not a whole lot of difference between drugs and herbs, yet herbs are not regulated at all. Hold people accountable for their actions and stop micro managing with laws that are selectively enforced. Alcohol and tobacco probably kill more people than any of the illegal drugs. We already have way too many people in prison, we have 50% more people in prison than China even though there population is 10 times bigger. P.S.- Like FlyerInHi I have never done any illegal drugs, my recruiter never believed me, I’m sure I’m one of the few.
moneymakerParticipantI get peeved when our littlest dog pees on the bed, that has happened twice today. One set of sheets is in the dryer while the other set is in the washer.
September 4, 2014 at 8:48 PM in reply to: Realtor didn’t inform seller of back up offer — is this wrong? #777827moneymakerParticipantI’m not a realtor, but I’m pretty sure the selling realtors responsibility is to present any and all offers to the sellers.
moneymakerParticipantSecurity systems can be difficult to set up. I bought a Q-See system, 4 cameras, 700 lines of resolution, 2 TB hard drive for like $258 new. The hard part is setting it up. It’s amazing what these new systems can do. I have mine on a reserved IP (if you don’t know what that means then you should probably have someone set it up for you) with a cell phone app. The cameras can be set to record motion only. At 30 fps I think I get 1-2 months of recording, you can even program them to E-mail when something happens. The technology is really cool! Nothing much happens here but I’m ready if it does.
