Bought some more Ford stock today!
moneymakerParticipantSleep is important for the body to return to balance, sex is important to men to get the hormones flowing. I believe sex does have certain healing powers, I know I feel better afterwards. Never knew Einstein didn’t believe in time but I have always felt it was an illusion and that time travel was impossible. It may be possible to one day look back into time like through a window. Time can be slowed down to a crawl but it can never be reversed.
moneymakerParticipantVery interesting. Makes me hope we can form a cooperative relationship with China rather than an adversarial one. Like the part about correlating phone battery status to likelihood of default on loan.
moneymakerParticipantPerhaps the fed rate should be more like the LIBOR and change daily based on some solid fundamentals, in that way it would be more like a tow bar rather than a rope.
moneymakerParticipantThe Fed is like a vehicle trying to tow another vehicle with a rope and the slack was just taken out of the rope with the last rate hike. So now the rope will stretch a little before the towed vehicle moves or it will break. The factors of vehicle weight, horsepower, type of rope, and whether the brakes (read tariffs) are on or not will be critical. I think 1 more hike will be okay just not sure when it should be done.
moneymakerParticipantBump!
moneymakerParticipantPicked up some Ford stock today! Don’t know how long I’ll keep it, but maybe it will be the first stock I own for more than a year.
moneymakerParticipantExcellent read, looks like supply for new housing is way above the current housing supply, looks like 6 months from the graph. When new home sales go down to 0% y/y then it’s time to start worrying about the economy.
moneymakerParticipantNice run flu and you are probably right to cash out as we all know stocks can be volatile, especially if you look at the historical graph of AMD.
moneymakerParticipantGlad I didn’t buy Tesla, looks bad for them right now. I might pick up some Ford if it gets down to 9.2 though.
moneymakerParticipantI think you meant to say great time to sell!
moneymakerParticipantflu you are right and it scares me sometimes, but every car company is doing the same thing by building plants outside the country. I hope the CEO of Ford calls me soon as they seem to need some guidance.
moneymakerParticipantA growth stock is fine if you are young or like to day trade or invest in pyramid schemes. For those of us that have been around a while we like companies that actually make money and pay a dividend. During this current boom cycle I can see the attraction of growth stocks but the party will eventually end! I realize that when the bust comes it will affect all stocks but I’m just using a little of my extra money and don’t depend on my stock picks for a living. I’m always amazed to see Apple go up and up and up and yes they do make real money and have a surplus along with their 114.6 Billion in debt. They do pay a small dividend, currently 1.3%
moneymakerParticipantLooking at 91945 there are 3 listed for over $500/sq.ft. none of them have central air and I think 2 of them have single car garages. Now I would pay that for west of the I-5, but not in Lemon Grove.
