Wow, me thinks BuBBle! If they get anything over 500k! Then again this one http://www.sdlookup.com/MLS-150047697-5123_Lotus_St_San_Diego_CA_92107 is even more pricey when you look at ppsf
moneymakerParticipantRemember working retail during college when the first cheap electronic watches came out, was amazed how such a “perfect” watch could be so cheap. Think they were selling for only a couple of bucks back then. Doubt if anyone that bought one of those still has it. My grandfather bought a really expensive watch when he went to europe after retiring, it was gold, self winding, and probably swiss or something. Pretty sure my uncle inherited that watch though doubt if he wears it as it was quite large and heavy. I might get an android watch when they come down and are smaller, it would save me from reaching for the phone, I could do the Dick Tracy thing. Between now and Christmas I’ll probably change my mind on that though.
moneymakerParticipantDon’t have a problem with not spending money, just don’t like to pay other people more than I make per hour, maybe it’s an ego thing or just think too many places charge too much. A watch is just a time piece and since mine is always right I’m perfectly content with it, even though I have many others laying around. Maybe a new watch is like a virgin, overly rated. Most people have too many things!

Brillo will also work with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth LE,if you are a developer, otherwise get something off the shelf that works. I have experience with ZigBee and it can be a pain at times, but could be made to work over a yard that is less than an acre it is low power and can be used with repeaters.
moneymakerParticipantcoax is to twisted pair as fiber is to coax, so why hasn’t the local cable company run fiber to the home? Economics! Google has deep pockets, I think their big obstacle could be with the city licensing agreements. If you read La Mesa’s licensing agreement with cable they prohibit individual tracking and reporting of customers viewing habits, do you think Google would agree to something like that?
October 10, 2015 at 6:21 PM in reply to: How accurate are the fico scores that are free from your credit card company. #790120moneymakerParticipantI get it from Discover and I think it is pretty accurate. Just asked them for a limit bump and felt insulted when they came back with a $500 dollar bump, oh well whatever! I guess I can see if there is a measurable difference next month as that is the only card I have a balance on.
Just checked Amex and they are giving me 1 point higher than Discover, maybe that is from the $500 limit bump.moneymakerParticipantFlu sounds like you are doing things right if you are really losing 8 lbs. in 2 months just have to keep it up. To lose that amount of weight you are basically burning 500 more calories than you are taking in per day, that is the best way to lose weight, slow but sure. When I feel like I’m gaining a little too much I hit the treadmill while watching TV. In 30 minutes I will burn 252 calories, that’s 1 oz of fat. So an hour on the treadmill equals 1/4 cup of fat burned. Now granted, running on the beach may be more fun, for me that’s not an option at this time.
moneymakerParticipantNo zk that’s not what I’m saying though I can see how you could read it that way. I am being ironic about the government’s hypocrisy. Cars pollute! The bigger the car/worse the mpg the more they pollute. What I didn’t mention about my car is that it runs as good as it did the day I bought it, burns no oil, and gets over 40 MPG. I am actually pissed that they make me take it in to be smogged when they measure nothing during the so called smog test.
moneymakerParticipantSo if the government cares so much how come it took them 6 years to figure this out. How come they don’t do a tailpipe test of my VW that is 13 years old and on the sticker said upfront that it pollutes 3 times more than the average car when brand new? My guess is that VW paid some kind of pollution tax way back then and decided they didn’t want to pay it anymore.
moneymakerParticipant
BMW and Mercedes can afford expensive NOX filtration (urea tank) because they sell luxury cars where price point is not critical.
Maybe VW cant install same equipment without 10% increase in price or big hit to accelerating
I believe the urea is only used sporadically to clean the catalytic converter but I could be wrong.
moneymakerParticipantWill Mercedes be found to be complicit too? Their Sprinters are diesel and get an amazing 26 mpg, which is amazing for a van. Don’t know if they claim zero emissions or not. Just remember if so called zero emissions is .0001% then 40 times that would still only be .004%,(numbers made up). When I bought my 2002 VW Jetta TDI the sticker said it polluted as much as 3 cars and the smog guys have yet to measure anything out of the exhaust pipe yet.
moneymakerParticipantOnly if it is cheap enough, which is not likely. Just give me a jet pack and call me George.
moneymakerParticipantIt is my understanding that without net metering you will be billed monthly. In other words those high summer bills would still be high just not as high with solar.
moneymakerParticipantIt is based on savings from the average of the previous 5 days, so I imagine that 3rd day in a row of RYU would not get you as much as the first day might. What is not clear to me is is the 5 day average for the 11-6 time frame or the whole day.
