Yes I bought, fully realizing the house would probably depreciate another 20%, right now I’m praying for inflation to dilute the purchase price.

In my opinion there are way too many cars out there on the road as it is(and I mean parked).Someone said inflation stymies spending, someone else says deflation makes people wait till it’s cheaper. I say it’s fear that keeps people from spending and right now rich people are afraid(what does that tell you),smart people are afraid! I think gold is overvalued right now, but I also think it will go higher before the year is out, since I can’t eat it, I’m not buying it. If I was to speculate I would say invest in what lasts a lifetime(yes I guess that would include gold).

Condos are pretty cheap right now, but I wouldn’t buy west of the I-5 for awhile.

moneymakerParticipantFunny thing about permits. Everyone talks about them and yet when I was looking for a house I found out that rarely is a permit pulled for anything, because then the inspector might find something else out of compliance maybe? I’m pretty sure the inspector’s just inspect what is being permitted but I guess that just might depend!
