ParticipantYeah I’m sure in 1933 there were a lot of people saying the worst was behind us. The world wide depression is what gave Adolph Hitler,Joseph Stalin, and Benito Mussolini the chance to become world leaders.
On a more local note CA’s budget could be much improved by not paying for the public education of thousands of illegal aliens. I figure deporting 22,000 illegal students would save approximately 170 Million dollars yearly. Anybody care to check the math?moneymaker

ParticipantNever been to Detroit, can’t comment. I do own an F-150 truck however that seems to drive like a cadillac and gets the same mileage too. While @ See’s candies tonight I was amazed how many people are willing to stand in a 30 minute line to buy overpriced chocolate, and during a recession too. Obviously this recession isn’t affecting everyone equally. I do love See’s candies but I hear Brach’s is not that far behind. I also love my F-150 Lariat, just had to say it!

ParticipantDoes anybody know how vacancy rates are measured? This will definitely throw a wrench into how accurate this measurement is. I’ve noticed a lot of for rent signs lately, is it just me or is this everyone else’s perception as well?

ParticipantI’ve had 2 inspections done in the last year and I’ll have to say I didn’t learn anything I didn’t already know. So I think alot of it depends on who is asking for the inspection. Most people have no clue what is holding up their house, so for most people it is probably money well spent. I personally will never have another one done, one guy didn’t/wouldn’t even crawl under the house. Ask a prospective inspector if he is willing to do this,if not keep looking!
