ParticipantI personally would hire a pro to do it, get multiple bids in writing. Using replacement ones will decrease the actual size of the window. I say knock out the old and put in new ones, on the plus side you will be creating a job for someone.

ParticipantCouldn’t bear the thought of going out and freezing in a line at zero dark thirty, so stayed home til 9am then the wife said “let’s go”.
Tomtom 550 XXL TM from Best Buy
Tried to get netbook from Fry’s (sold out, all 96)
interestingly a couple days later they have restocked, but’s it’s $50 dollars more. PassOtto floor lamp
Xbox 360 with Kinect from Walmart (actually bought Saturday)

ParticipantI do agree with the 401K portion, if it weren’t for the match I would not invest there either as I feel I have very little control as to where the money is invested. I think congress should take another look at this as I hear some companies are doing away with the match, and then it’s like you are a hostage, damned if you pull it out and damned if you have no control over it. There should be a penalty to the employer, that benefits the employee, if they get rid of the matching funds.

ParticipantI was tempted to do the same thing in my neighborhood when the problem was not being fixed after I reported it and even got E-mail confirmation of my report. In the end I’m glad I did not attempt it though as the city did a beautiful job of fixing it eventually, much better job than I could have ever done. Most things are really best left to the professionals.
