ParticipantBrian, I appreciate that you are the only liberal that will admit that rationed health care is on the horizon. To the poster who went on about dealing with insurance companies, do you honestly think the government will solve that or make it worse? It actually sounds like what Brian wants the health care system to be. Just the physical would be covered, but all the other tests would not. I can only imagine going to the doctor when I’m sick and being run around for hours because I don’t have this form, or that form, etc. Ever been to the DMV?
Another thing, if you don’t have an actual argument or
thought other than to make fun because you THINK someone is a republican, maybe you should keep it to yourself. At least I have a view, and am willing to argue my point.November 8, 2009 at 10:48 PM in reply to: House crams healthcare bill down the countries throat. #479853mike92104

Participant
What happened to Pelosi’s promise to allow 72 hours for the public to view the contents of the bill then provide their feedback to their elected representatives.
Can we not call this behavior unethical? Should voters not hold their elected representatives to a higher standard? Where is the news media? Where is the opposition party?
Regardless of the fact that they are elected, they are still accountable to the electorate. If the electorate is not aware of what they are voting on then we have ineffectively delegated out powers to our officials.
Just my 2 cents, or maybe less by the time I finish typing this post as our government has taken on another federal program without explaining how it will be funded.
I too am tired of this BS “secret” crap Pelosi keeps doing. If it has to be secretive, or rushed through before people can take a look at it, it is obviously not in our best interest. It’s just another power grab, and I think it’s time for this country to raise up and form a new government. This one obviously doesn’t work for it’s citizens anymore.

ParticipantI say it’s a cram down because something like 70% of Americans didn’t want it, but it was passed anyway.
