I understand Arraya’s gripe. I remember posting a complaint about a sudden surge in speed traps in my neighborhood shortly after the market hit bottom. It seemed as though all kinds of minor offenses which were not enforced, were suddenly being enforced with zeal. Police and Fire Depts. are not free, but at least they are (for the most part) local organizations. The healthcare bill is just a huge debacle, and I can’t support having the government in control of it where it will be hugely politicized every election year.
