ParticipantHonestly if we were in a Time Warner area, we would probably have cable. We dropped Cox because their internet was unreliable. Their network is way overextended, and I wouldn’t be able to get internet access any time there was a game or some other popular event on tv because there wasn’t enough gain. when I lived in a Time Warner area, we never had an issue.

Participant
I have a brass abeille brand oil lamp I got in France in 1985. Is it worth anything?
I have no idea. I just like the lamps, and I don’t keep up with values. The whole thing kind of started by accident with someone giving me a lamp. At this point anyone that knows I collect them gives me some old lamp that’s been sitting in their closet. I think I have somewhere around 40 of them now, but I haven’t unpacked them yet (they accounted for about half of the boxes when I moved)

ParticipantWe use a PS3 and a roku with a subscription to Netflix and Hulu +. I would recommend the roku. For the price, it can’t be beat. I also love the way they organize their “roku channels”. I have barely begun to explore, but their is a TON of stuff. We use AT&T dsl because COX was horribly unreliable. We’re paying $25/month for 12mps service which has been just fine. I use a d-link dr 655 router. The setup has been rock solid since we dropped cox.
We did get lucky, and cox has not snipped the line so we still get all the local HD channels over the cable line crystal clear. If you subscribe to cox internet, I would check to see if you’re getting the local channels as well.
