The wineries high on the wine snobs’ list as producing the best: Wilson Creek, Wiens, Callaway, Leonesse, and maybe Monte de Oro (it is new, jury is still out).[/quote]I’d have to take exception to that one…didn’t think their wines were as good as they (the winery) thought they were. Especially for a $12 tasting fee and the rudest cashier I’ve ever met.
However the parking lot was full…but I know there will be at least one extra spot in the future…since I won’t be back ๐

ParticipantIf you go to Temecula…
I’d avoid Wilson Creek. Last time we were there the tasting price was outrageous, the wines were poor and the tasting room was like a PB frat party.
I have a wine club membership at Leonesse Cellars. They are on the backside off the main winery road so they don’t get as much traffic. I think they are one of the hidden gems up there.
We’re also fans of South Coast.
Thornton has had some good wines in the past but I don’t like how they do tasting (too restauranty).
Stuart Cellars has made some really good wines as well (I used to have a wine club membership there).
There are several others that are pretty new that I haven’t had a chance to get to yet.

Clearly the dollar is in trouble…however the euro is going to crash quite a bit considering the systemic problems over on the continent. You think a trillion thrown on to the Greek bonfire is going to solve their problems? They are going to topple like dominoes.

ParticipantOk, give me the phone number of your HR stooge Brian and I’ll tell him/her that you’ve decided you’d rather be paid in Euros from now on.
