The big problem with the site you linked to, if you read the authors “rebuttals” (or at least the ones I looked at) they all basically say “the skeptics have cherry-picked the data to support their claims.” Then he goes on to cherry-pick data to discredit the skeptics!

It seems to me that the above statement says that only minors will be covered, although some states have been using the money to cover adults and this practice will stop.

ParticipantIt sounds to me as though BofA will be writing it off. What I would like to see (although it could never happen) is to have all principal write-downs be recorded as sales. Otherwise, those who bought at the inflated prices get the break but those of us who waited out this insanity still have to deal with the absurd prices that sellers still think their home is worth.
