ParticipantI live in SB. I’m happy, giant yard, swimming pool, great sunset every night, school 2 blocks away, out in the country, etc. It works for us. For others, maybe not. You can score a great deal if you do your homework and are in a strong buying position. I can’t stress doing your homework, really important.

ParticipantI will agree with other posters that Scripps Ranch is a nice family neighborhood. I believe this tends to prop up the prices. Regarding Stonebridge, as I have posted before, there is a wide variety of pricing. We bought in SB, April 09 and really like it. We won’t talk about the squatters next door! To me the pricing seems really out of wack. So many homes are seriously overpriced, yet people will buy the home. So there is a demand that the seller/developer is filling. In my little nook there is a house for sale, 1.2 mil. No activity. Drop the price to $895,000.00 and you would probably see a frenzy of activity bidding the price up. I guess as a seller or buyer you need to be agressive and willing to invest some time to make your deal happen.

ParticipantOoops….I made a mistake. The Mendoza’s are not there at the Deprise house as far as I know/see. There goes my creditability. I was thinking about another Warmington house on Edgewood. I apologize for the mistake.
