Rustico,
After 1 year I decided to check the San Diego Market again. And as I had mentioned a year ago, the price trends were especially disturbing for San Diego in June of 2007. Many so called “Experts” on this board laughed. I guess they are not laughing now as parts of SD County are off over 50% in less than a year.
I guess “Late Summer 2008” wasn’t such a bad prediction after all. I noticed La Jolla got hit pretty hard last month. I believe that is a great leading indicator on what’s in store for the Westside of Los Angeles. Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Malibu, Pacific Palisades, and Brentwood all just starting to feel it.
The coming Alt-A and Prime Mortgage Meltdown will continue to hammer the high-end areas next.

latesummer2008ParticipantI guess my predictions for San Diego weren’t so wrong after all. Hate to say I told you so, but, I told you so. Parts of SD County off 50% or more by “Late Summer 2008″…..

latesummer2008ParticipantI can see many of you on this board are threatened by the probable price declines, that ARE coming. I don’t need to waste my time defending what I say, to mostly nervous, overly religious, republican fundamentalist, real estate hacks. Having to constantly defend what I say here is old and tired. You honestly deserve each other on this board. It’s too bad, because there are a few people here that can see the big picture and what is happening. Most of you responding with attacks, and no data to back it up are just POPPING OFF. I feel sorry for you. That’s easy in a social forum like this, hiding behind a computer, because in real life, you would be shredded, face to face.
Let the numbers speak for themselves over the next few months and years. In retrospect, than you can JUDGE for yourself.
One last remark. We will see what happens in Late Summer of 2008, My guess is, smart buyers will be getting good deals on real estate.
I’M OUT……..

latesummer2008ParticipantExcuse me, what is YOUR occupation IONEGARM? I didn’t get that. Are you in RE perhaps? Hmmmm? Maybe, you have something to lose, in a declining market?
I would say, educating 200 inner city teenagers a day, IS community service. Tell us what you do each day, thats adding to your community. And, instead of attacking me, BRING YOUR DATA, and keep the forum ON THE SUBJECT.Also, I guess TRENDS, of several high end areas declining in 3 different counties, during the same month, does’nt mean anything to you.
Keeping drinking the Kool-Aid, boss…

By the way, try using commas in your writing next time…

latesummer2008ParticipantIonegarm, why don’t you stick to the thread and state your opinion on RE. What data do you have to bring to the table instead of just hating??
And while your at it, why don’t you clue us in in what great things your doing for your community. Hmmm?
