Some day people like you will realize science and God go hand in hand, and are not diamterically opposed as the self-proclaimed brilliant proclaim.[/quote]
that pious statement reminds of all the religious wackos throughout the years that were convinced that the world will end on a certain day, year, etc., for whatever reaon.
same exact mentality.

Participant“Regarding the post about anti-abortionists not doing enough for the world’s poor, a recent study found that conservatives donate far more to charities than liberals. This was true even when church donations were taken out of the picture.”
Please substantiate this statement with some evidence since the study in question actually indicates that conservatives donate more only if you include church donations.

Participantgreat pick? Brilliant? That’s “Hillarious.”
McCain went for the hail mary pass on this VP pick who has no foreign policy experience whatsoever and has no meaningful opinion on Irag, to name a few deficiencies. It also indicates that McCain’s prior arguments for votes based upon experience are obviously so much BS as this VP has none.
The fact that McCain would take such a wild risk on such an important decision means he is an impulsive decision maker which I am not sure is suitable for the oval office and more likely to take unnecessary risks that are likely to get the US into additional wars (see, e.g, his insane bombastic support for the idiot Georgian president, which could lead to a nuclear exchange).
To wit, McCain’s decision is either a token attempt to woo Hillary supporters that they should think only of their vaginas in their voting decision, or perhaps to keep his anti-choice, gun lovin, flat world, anti-science voter demographic, or is a desperate and again impulsive high-risk decision to take the limelight from the Democratic Convention.
Either way, a wild gamble that clearly reveals the old farts impulsive and questionable judgment.August 30, 2008 at 7:05 AM in reply to: Sarah Palin is a brilliant pick as next VP of the US #263678larrylujack
