Participantwhat’s funny is that none of your opinions matter one bit, and none of you even recognize that! the folks with money have already decided how to use taxpayer money.
better luck next time.

September 19, 2008 at 8:28 PM in reply to: Clinton, Republicans agree to deregulation of US financial system #272957larrylujack
ParticipantGiven the massive bailout of the financial institutions toxic debt by the American taxpayer that will soon commence behind closed doors and will be negotiated by and for the wealthy, is there really any doubt anymore that we live in a corporate welfare state that has bipartisan support from neo-liberal democrats and so called free market republicans?
As both Demos and Repos suck from the wall street teet, I am not surprised in the least that both parties support this bailout of the ass..les that got us into the mess, and I predict that this is the tip of the iceburg and the worst is yet to come.September 19, 2008 at 8:28 PM in reply to: Clinton, Republicans agree to deregulation of US financial system #273202larrylujack

Participant
zippy: Time to take it back, and get back to our core beliefs.
Curious what those core beliefs would be, perhaps making abortion illegal and forcing women to have children against their will, or perhaps introducing religion into science classes, or perhaps banning gays from marrying, or perhaps invading more countries that pose no threat to the US people other than for the larger US goal of dominating the geopolitical/power scale, or perhaps continuing the torture and detention of people without due process of law, or perhaps spying on americans in violation of and eviscerating the 4th amendment, and then passing a law that says, well that was ok. I’d like to know what, precisely the meaning of this statement is, particularly because all of the foregoing are positions of the current administration. This is a rhetorical question of course, since decisions are made in DC by those that can afford to sit at the table with a nice campaign contribution.Just…curious….take a stab at it….
