http://www.golfnow.com has the best rates. Personally I like the Vineyards in escondido. Also, Pala Mesa resort is tough and good. If they live in the OC, meet them in Temecula for golf and wine.
Woods Valley is brand new and reasonable. I havent played at the place in Oceanside but it looks good – Arrowhead or something.

I think chantaclair layouts stink – one of them you walk into a living room, through the kitchen to get to the family room / back of the house. Thats horrible design.
Only thing i like is the placement of these homes – they sit up on a hill as opposed to maybeck and pienza.
