Let me join to this one side civilized, other side silly and rude dialog.
I’ve read the post by JES, it’s factual, also no blame game there. If
the Democrats don’t want to take responsibility for their votes, it’s too
bad. They’re in the records. There are some fanatic leftists (i.e.
Deadzone), who denies history and facts. A poor argument supported
by silly words is not an argument. This level of immaturity create a kind
of suspicion” about any argument coming from the left. It’s too bad,
sometimes leftists have reasonable even logical arguments, but they’re
already in the foggy fields of suspicion. Deadzone, your political and
historical knowledge is on the level of kid, who argues “the Titanic sunk, because the Carpathian didn’t come fast enough”.L Thek

Nobody talking about the obvious. A week before the elections George
Bush confirmed his full support for Rumsfeld. Elections are not 100%
predictable. As a mature leader should, Rumsfeld submitted plan A
and B to the President. Plan A, if the Republicans hold on at least one
of the Houses, he stays, if the Democrats take over both he’ll resign. To
run the Pentagon and an extremely complex war is impossible when he
has to seat full time at the “Hang Rumsfeld” hearings.L Thek

Last time I checked, the international coalition (including the new Iraq
forces) are not fighting a bunch of humanitarians and charitable
organizations, but a large number of terrorist insurgency. The nature
of war based on history, if one side doesn’t win, the other does. If the
U.S lead coalition doesn’t defeat the terrorists and help maintain a
civilized government, Iraq can become a terrorist state. The concept
of taking over the world is not a new invention of militant Islam. It was
revealed on 9/11/01, and proved after. The incremental takeover was
interrupted by the U.S. invasion of Afganistan and Iraq. Militant Islam is
on the defense now, but far from defeated. The world can’t afford to wait
until an anti-western maniac supply them with nuclear devices. Imagine
the worldwide chaos created by a half of dozen nuclear explosions.

Embassy, your heroes should only check the correct address in
the phone book, but they blew it. The war in Iraq is for the future

violating anyone’s civil liberties by the Patriot Act. Even the ACLU

The American Constitution is stronger than a theory of a few military
professionals. I trust the civilian leadership and oversee of military.
An all volunteer military will never turn against the liberty of American

(as they indicated before), so some suicide maniacs can freely blow up
Christmas shoppers in malls. The new American Left are a bunch of
neo-bolsheviks with one goal in mind, to destroy the only defender of

In the construction industry the fall layoffs are part
of doing business. I suspect, the 26,000 number is an
interpretation of number of filing for unemployment
benefits. I have no data for previous years, but I’m
