KIBUParticipant
Definitely a right time. You are pretty logical. Congrats man. I can’t believe you waited that long. That’s free interest (4.2)…in a few year when inflation may eat it out 🙂

They would never call these 9 monks and nun… barbecue.
Their spokesman called these monks as doing “terror act in disguise”.
Basically “terrorist”.

October 16, 2011 at 8:44 PM in reply to: Any Recommendations on a Home Inspector for my Purchase #730801KIBUParticipantI used Pete the inspector. 2 things he did great:
1. showed me some of the right problems the house had + showed me how to take care of maintenance stuffs.
2. Answered my emails when I asked him more than a year later asking for advices to fix 2 problems (plumbing leaks) we had. He gave me advices on how to determine if I could get the professionals or myself treating the small leaks…..etc. In that cases, I did it myself with his advice and it worked beautifully.

You guys can buy in 6-12 months from now and see a difference (but where are you going to get the down payment?)
September 18, 2011 at 11:49 PM in reply to: OT: Reliable installer of bullet resistant auto glass #729400KIBUParticipantIt was all a joke. No meaning to make fun of you, just tried to make something funny out of it and thought you would laugh too……
September 18, 2011 at 11:21 PM in reply to: OT: Reliable installer of bullet resistant auto glass #729390KIBUParticipantThe guy is trying to prepare for the 2012 end of the world thingy.
The best way is to have an AK mounted with a turret on the roof of the car. The wife can drive while our friend Flu is in control of the turret.
Anyone know where to mount a turret, please let him know too.
KIBUParticipantEuro maybe next after Greek default.
KIBUParticipantTG,
Have a great trip, TG. You will probably find deep meanings from your trip as one of the first to see the monument. Many people probably want to be there but can’t.
I would also like to share with you what’s on my mind as a patriotic American. And maybe, when you are at the monument or have some free time, think about it:
Can we yet avoid another 9/11 for America?
And while everybody probably will tell me that we have improved our security, I am not talking about that 9/11 that patriotic Americans are still talking about.
I am talking about the fact that in the last 2 months, 3 American Solar energy companies filed for bankruptcy, representing 1/5 of the solar panel manufacturing capacity in the United States.
To me, that’s is 9/11 for America. It is probably the first significant sign that the solar energy century will be owned not by us. Due to various reasons, these US companies can’t compete to survive and they will carry down with them the hope for a vibrant key technology/industry in the US.
Will we have more of these invisible 9/11 ? Where will the monument be if not the unemployment lines for our kids and grand kids in the future ?
KIBUParticipantThis was what pri_dk said:
“The attack was a strategic military action against the military assets an adversary already engaged in the conflict. In short, it was fair game”.
This was what Allan from Fallbrook said:
“Pri: I found the above comment curious. “…adversary already engaged in the conflict”. Where, exactly, were we engaged in the conflict? Are you speaking of the Lend-Lease Program? Or were there US forces actively participating in the war that I hadn’t heard of?”
My take on this: I think Allan made that “curious” extension from the term “conflict” to automatically be = “war”. Hence: “were there US forces actively participating in the war that I hadn’t heard of?”
In my book, “Conflict” doesn’t equate to be “war”.
And yes, the US assets were actively involved in containing Japan empire before Pearl Harbor happened. (anyway, my opinion is, I am surprised about your guys but I fully support US interests in the world). So, pri_dk’s statement above makes logical sense to me.
No need to be “curious” as a pretext for a beating. If people are curious like that, we better run fast.
KIBUParticipantHuh Walter ???
What is going “ome” ??
Life beyond thunderdome
Is just another h”ome”
Might as well go home
With a sweety blonde
Observation domes….
and some room to roam…
KIBUParticipantAmerica is being defined more and more by 9/11. Got stuck with it, can’t let go.
When it happened, i was sad and lots of feelings for the victims.
Well, 10 years already guys. The country can not get stuck with that dead guy Bin Laden for ever, even if the threats may still be there. Know the threats but move on and do something else productive or you just got stuck there crying baby mens of “never forget”.
The media is a bunch of crying makers on this day. We are a bunch of crying heroes.
Definitely we should pause and remember the victims, the importance of the event….but immerse the whole country in this sadness as if it happened yesterday on all media and events are too much, in my humble opinion.
….unless you want this country to forever stuck with the BinLaden’s legacy.
Well, but I respect your sadness on this anyway. Just want to voice my opinion.
KIBUParticipantWhat would have Aristotle do in this case???
KIBUParticipantAlso, Steve Jobs is dead. There, I said it second, after CBS.
KIBUParticipantI agree.
In the mean time, we can do austerity all the way there.
Because a bunch of idiots over spent to bankruptcy/foreclosure…and then they learned about the magic of austerity so they have to get that lesson not applicable for them only but the whole economy and government to do the same.
Economy leading by these idiots who influenced their idiot politicians will likely lead us to another depression.
The pressure for cuts are huge. The time to do cuts now may kill what’s left.
