ParticipantChet Atkins aka “Mr Guitar” was an amazing player, he popularized the alternating bass style with the thumbpick playing bass and the other fingers playing melody at the same time (which was pioneered by the likes of Merle Travis of course)..one of my favs is him playing Mr. Sandman:
Another one of him playing a beautiful instrumental version of Don McLean’s “Vincent”:
Chet was Tommy Emmanuel’s mentor and Chet gave Tommy the certification of CGP – Certified Guitar Player.
Another great guitarist with flying fingers is Doyle Dykes, this guy pick like crazy!! This is him showing off the Taylor ES system playing the classic “Avalon”:

Participantthey say the tax extensions has alienated some democrats, now will this pass the house as well? I am thinking it seems just uncertain at this point which way it will come out of the house. Have representatives recieved more complaints from their constituents since last week?
Senate approval of course was expected and is nothing surprising.
Of course it is a coincidence that this vote is passing on Fri to hope the markets “cool off” over the weekend if the results are negative, but I think if there is a negative house vote expect a 1000pt drop on the DOW or even more if we are to expect the kind of reaction that followed the initial defeat.
