Participantwoodrow: I think the ZIP is actually 91913 for that neighborhood. 91915’s not doing so hot either, though.

Participantwoodrow: Thanks for the kind words.
and sdduuuude: I agree with you that foreclosures/sales is a great way to look at the market. That way, we can try to sort out how many months supply have been added to the inventory stockpile by foreclosures.
You’ve all been really helpful here. Thank you.

ParticipantHiggyBaby: I’ve been asking around for some of that loan breakdown info, too — I’ll keep you posted when I find out.
and lindismith: The individual ZIPs have a graph underneath that compares them to the county average. And if you click ‘view all,’ you can see the ZIPs in relation to each other.
They’re broken down by cities (San Diego, Chula Vista, Carlsbad, etc.) Within each city, the best thing to do is google the ZIP code to get a sense of what neighborhoods fall within it.
The drop-down menu is also in the middle of our homepage today, in the box titled “A Tight Squeeze.”
Thanks for the feedback.

ParticipantThat’s a good question. I don’t have immediate access to that data, but I’ll see what I can find out. Good suggestion.
(The benefit to the unique address feature for RealtyTrac is that it doesn’t count the same house each time it shows up in the rolls for NOD, NOS, REO, etc.)

ParticipantYikes, that’s exactly the situation that I imagined.
Any chance your friend would want to chat with me about it?
I think the downpayment assistance thing is more prevalent than we know.
Thanks for your comment, blue_sky
