Participant
We looked into the serenity homes. IMO, this specific home doesn’t sell for reasons. In general, if you compare to earlier-built houses in Stonebridge, the material is cheap and the builder does cut corners in many ways. I remember someone mentioned the narrow staircase, it is very true! This particular house has two garages. They claim you can park four cars, but how possible do you stack the cars in and out. It is just not the right design for a estate house! Another thing is lack of breakfast/eating area. To me it is a major issue.
SD realtor, interested in your opinion of Stonebridge new homes and resales. What represents a better value? what is the market trend? Thanks!
Actually, the Serenity homes are selling amazingly well despite being way overpriced. As far as the quality, they are definitely not as well built as for instance the Sanctuary or even Calabria homes. Also, the homes have a breakfast area.

Participant
kcal09, do you care to give some examples of the upgrades or other offers they discussed?
We’ve had a lot of traffic up here from the marketing Lennar has been doing more recently. Radio ads, billboards, etc. I see people constantly looking at the Crestview homes. In addition, they are building their last NorthStar building at the far North end. Shouldn’t be too long before all these condos are sold out. These are starting at $295k for 1323sf, 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath, 2 car garage, 3 story, including garage at bottom floor.
In addition, I noticed that Standard Pacific Riverwalk looks like they are close to final buildout. Does anyone have any details on this? Also, is there any Cornerstone Mission View homes left?
In about a year, I would say there will be limited new SFR available in Santee, outside of SkyRanch. Any thoughts…
Many of the nicer cabinets in the kitchen and bathrooms are of higher quality and standard. The granite countertops and stainless appliances are also included. Overall, the Lennar homes are very nicely built. I did not see the Crestview homes this time but I remember that they were quite nice too, especially the largest model.
Cornerstone is selling their Mission View homes in the 5th phase now and they are also offering the models for sale. Their location is not as attractive as in Skyranch as there is a trailer park across the street.
