ParticipantJeepers. Let’s go back to the original post. It sounds like one of those “I’m a life-long Democrat but I can’t stand what Obama just did” posts from a Republican-shill-pretending-to-be-a-Democrat.
Geez louise. Enough with this nonsense that you can no longer support Obama because of some stupid and mostly fake reason ABC or some little nitpick made up by Karl Rove in a smoke-filled back room somewhere.
Are people complete idiots or are these flip-flop-fearing nincompoops all just republican shills trying to sow uncertainty and doubt? I think the latter.
Ok, so Obama does not quite walk on water, and therefore he isn’t the second coming of Messiah. Is that a valid reason not to vote, or even worse, vote for the devil instead (you know who i mean). GET A GRIP ON YOURSELF, SHILLS! WE’RE NOT BUYING YOUR PROPAGANDA!
By the way, have you noted that these purported reasons ABC for not voting for Obama are all slightly closer to McCain’s stance? And therefore people should now want to vote for the other extreme instead, or stay home in disgust? Nice try, Mister Rove, but it ain’t going to work. Not this time. Jesus Christ on a stick, people are not THAT stupid!

>>justme: You miss both points. The argument was 1.3MM tons >>during 1999 – 2001 versus 1.44MM tons during WWII (European >>Theater).
No Alan, the Iraq number was 1.3 Million POUNDS, not TONS, for 1999-2001. That becomes 642 TON, of which 528 TON was 1999-2000 (Clinton). Just click through the link in your counterpunch.com reference and read the raw data.
I repeat:
Your claim: Clinton dropped more tonnage of bombs on Iraq during 1999-2000 than USAF did on Germany in all of WV2.
My debunk: According to your own chosen sources on this matter, namely counterpunch.com and Wikipedia. the ratio was WW2/Clinton = 1,463,423 / 528 = 2772. So your propaganda is off by a whopping factor of 2772!
Do you agree now?

ParticipantAllanFF, the calculation is
WW2/Clinton = 1,463,423 / 528 = 2772
where the measurement unit is tons. That is 1.4 Mtons right there, not 1.4 Btons (M = Million or Mega, B = Billion or Giga). There is nothing wrong with the math here.
When you are challenging a person to call you a liar to your face, the implication is that you are planning on violence if he does it. Violence is not called for. Might does not make right, and might does not make truth.
