ParticipantI am currently shopping for a relatively high end house, and when I find what I want will sell my current one. The combined value of the two houses will be in the range of $5M. That is $150,000 for the agent that represents me in both transactions, plus another $150k for the agents on the other side. $300,000 in commissions for ONE family’s move. That is insane. How many hours do you think an agent should put in to earn $150,000?

ParticipantSan Diego Unified is ridiculously large. The district includes 118 elementary schools. Poway Unified has 25. Del Mar Unified has 8.
SDUSD is a montrous bureaucracy that does not meet the needs of any of its students. Personally, I don’t think dividing it in 2 is enough. It should be divided into at least 3 (or 4 or 5 or 6) distinct districts.

ParticipantNot all small businesses need loans. For those that do, will $35k make that much difference? I suppose it might for some.
