Participant
The act of executing is far more important then the actual idea. Everyone has ideas, few execute on them. Even if you have an idea that sounds subpar, or has been done already, just start working on it. Work on it everyday. If you cannot do this, then you don’t want it bad enough.
The part of your idea / business which yields you the most financial gain is seldom in your initial plan anyway. Look at google, microsoft, facebook, zappos.
You need to just start working on something and let it organically mature.
I can get behind this statement. Your first comment was a bit disney-ish for my taste.
Someone once said to me. “You do not need a good idea. You just need an idea, and you make it good!”

haha…getting into the resale of office furniture?
Maybe a franchise broker?
Genius!
I think scaredy may be referring to a motivational speaker/guru type here, who hits the lecture circuit for fees and also sells books/cds at his/her “seminars.”
Do you have “charisma,” jstoesz??
I have a soul that I would like to keep.

Participant
..and sorry…If you have to ask a blog about an idea to start a business, don’t bother…Because if someone really had a good idea to execute on (without morale conflicts) that would be worth there time, they wouldn’t be sharing it on a blog 🙂
Personally, I’ve started experimenting with NFC on Gingerbread releases on my personal time, but I think we’re ways away from anything meaningful here in the States.
I didn’t expect this to be a fruitful pursuit…I was bored last night and wanted to expand my brainstorming net.
