Safer Kids, Better Test Scores: The D.C. Voucher Program Works
by Shanea Watkins, Ph.D.“Despite this lack of statistical differentiation, students who participated in the Opportunity Scholarship Program achieved higher reading scores than students who did not. The study also indicated that certain subgroups of students experienced significant positive gains in reading achievement.[3] These results are encouraging because they offer compelling evidence of two years of positive achievement gains for D.C. voucher program participants.[4]”
Its not politically correct but poverty and low IQ is highly corelated.
That’s why the voucher system would be better for everyone. People with learning deficiencies could get the attention they deserve under it.

Participant

I’m curious what percentage of the public would get an education if there weren’t public schools. Any guesses?
More than are now since the schools aren’t teaching. Teachers too busy coming up with extra credit crap so their kids can get inflated grades to make the teacher look good.
Of course, private companies would never “fake it” to get positive results. I can’t think of any circumstance where they have inflated anything for short term gain. haha
Put education in the private sector and you put in in the legal system. Another avenue of accountability.
You can’t sue the government over failing schools, mismanagement but you can hold private companies accountable.
