I’m with USAA as well. I love the company and their service, and have been a auto insurance my whole life, now I have home insurance as well. I was disappointed with their pricing of Life Insurance (their mortgage department also disappointed me I’m afraid, and I had to go with Wells Fargo.)
As near as I can tell, term life is entirely a price commodity. I looked on the price comparison sites, then contacted Rich (the site’s proprietor if you aren’t familiar.) His partner John is a broker for life insurance, and got me the same price I’d found online.
I found it convenient to go through them. John (being my financial adviser as well) also talked me through the amount calculation, which was helpful to me. I’d roughed out some numbers, but he added some more info that changed my calculations a little.
Anyway, just my two cents. Good luck!

We’ve seen a number of these sell significantly below the final list price. The final list was $1,130,000. I’m sure a lot of smart buyers already know this, but low offers on properties that sit out there for a while can bring nice results.
