ParticipantThe reason so-called minor candidates don’t get coverage is a direct result of corporate media consolidation initiated by the Clinton administration. It only makes sense to give the bare minimum news coverage to the primary campaigns so they only cover the top two or three candidates that are polling the highest. Since their only concern is advertising revenue, they assume the majority of people won’t keep their eyes glued on the news long enough to digest coverage on ALL the candidates, therefore we don’t get the news we might otherwise need. If you’re only polling at 5%, that translates to too small a segment of the viewing audience, right?

ParticipantI take 56 E in the morning to 15 N and it’s ALWAYS full speed. In the evening on 56 W it’s also good until you exit to the 5 S. If you’re exiting before the 5 in the evening it should also be good for you. Where you might see traffic is along the 15-163 merge in the evening. I would say that would be a good commute overall though. You should monitor http://www.sigalert.com for traffic patterns.

ParticipantI’m one of the few remaining multi-generational natives still living in San Diego County. We are an endangered species.
That being said, I’m quite bearish on the local Real Estate market — SINCE the boom 1-2 years ago. Otherwise, if you’ve owned something long enough, you’re a long way from being bearish on your own investment, especially in La Jolla. That is until global warming redefines our coastline…

ParticipantThanks, SD Realtor. I just re-read my post and I can see how I may have come across as insulting without meaning to. For that I apologize. I really meant it as an honest question. Thanks for offering a very clear perspective on who is buying. I can see now that it comes down to an individual’s current situation as well as what that person believes is going to happen in the market. No one can predict the future, so your opinion could be as good as mine.
