I agree that health care is a part of the “social blanket”. No tort reform, no letting insurance companies competing across state lines, backroom deals that stink, ramming legislation through, not allowing anyone to read the bills all smells of bad lawmaking. On top of that, a suspicion of obama’s socialistic tendancies leaves alot of people suspicious that this bill is not about helping our country do health care better, but to socialize it as the goal.

My “usual and customary” fees really are meaningless and these are what are typically sent out for payment first. If someone eventually owes the hospital, start with the medicare fees and negotiate down from there. Medicare is one of the lower paying insurance carriers out there. good luck.
