Participant
SDR, did you flunk Econ 101?
If in fact “There is alot more demand than supply right now” then home prices would be rising in San Diego right now. That is clearly not happening. While everybody knows that supply is being artificially held back, obviously not enough to cause prices to rise. Bottom line, there is NOT more demand than supply.
have you looked at houses lately? Or bid on one? Try it out and get back to us mmmk?

June 29, 2009 at 9:22 AM in reply to: Has anyone actually used Redfin to purchase a home? Interested to hear what your experience was #421547ibjames
ParticipantI agree with you sdr..
Using redfin to view but not buy while you have a realtor is stupid. If your realtor doesn’t want to show you a property, find another realtor. If a realtor is trying to sell you a property, move on.
Heck, my realtor gets me to not buy the property because he points out the faults so I don’t get suckered (I am looking in the lower end). Find yourself a good realtor and you don’t have the problems you are referring to.
Just don’t waste someone’s time that you will never purchase a house from. While many do not have high opinons of realtors (I admit, I fall into that category for 90% of them, but they are still human and are trying to make a living)

The appraisers are just doing their job.
Now they are? Ok if you say so. I wonder what they were doing during the run up from 2001-2007?
talking to realtors and finding out what the house needs to be appraised at?
now they walk in, no realtors, no nothing, just comps and looking at the house..
is that unfair?
