ParticipantI would like to see a side by side comparison. But I think unless you have a strong prescription where the lens is more curved, I doubt the need.
I think the anti reflective is more for other peoples benefit looking at you so they can see your eyes better. Don’t think it is as apparent from your side of the lens.
I doubt any coating will eliminate glare from direct light through the inside of the lens. Makes me think why you use a lens shade with your camera.
By the way, the anti reflective coating is very necessary in camera lenses due the multiple stacking of lenses within. Each lens surface will reflect some light back into the previous lens thus degrading the image.

ParticipantGot it. Since you are cool with the tenents, push the fence down on the tenants side. Let them take photos of it to include with their demand letter for repair to prop mgmt/owner. Then prop it back up and wait for the owner to come to you wanting to split the cost. π

ParticipantTake a look at Ratemyteachers . com to see why very little weight should be put on student reviews.

ParticipantDrop a bag of granulated ant control and a hose end ant killer on his doorstep. Tenant sprays and rings outside perimeter of home with granules. Let him know this is saving him $70 for a service and will only cost you $40. Chalk it up to a happy tenant. After all you don’t want a stain in the living room carpet when he moves out π
We live on an anthill and this method keeps them at bay for me.

ParticipantI would agree that the $500 ‘special’ won’t match the 1920 style. They do make deluxe wood looking metal sectional doors which would look correct but are much more$
Is your existing door a single flat door (1 piece)? Does it open straight? Are the hinges bent? Is it hard to lift? Will it stay in the up position or close a couple of inches?
Springs are easy to replace. Just measure the gauge ( wire diameter ) and the length. Prop the door open with a ladder to unload the spring tension. Get a friend to help you unhook the bottom of the spring by pulling down. Replace with new. Done. By the way, all springs now have a wire extending through the center to prevent a broken spring from flying.
Actually, if you door is still in good shape you could fish a wire rope through the existing spring to make a loop and clamp the ends together to safety tie the spring.
If the hinges are bent or not secure then you will probably be easier to hire a door company. Parts are not that much if you want to diy but remember the door is heavy and unwieldy.
If they do not make your spring now, I’m sure you can find an equivalent. Even on-line. With the gauge and length (maybe counting the turns too) they can look up the tension and match. It’s not rocket science π

ParticipantNow you’ve done it, a new agency.
— U.S. Department of Construction. “No worker left behind..” is the motto. “To correctly and fairly spend stimulus dollars” is the credo.

Participant100% tax? Really? Would you go to work of all your efforts allowed you ‘0’ take home? Doubt it.
Time for a real world check.

Participant
Because it’s the government’s enforcement of laws, property rights, etc. that allowed you to accumulate the wealth in the first place?
That simply protected what the private party created. Which is a benefit of the tax collected.
Again, why is govt better qualified to distribute earnings? So if they made the road, they didn’t invent the new concept.

Agree that commercial is different from residential. Commercial will follow you down collecting anything they can until you BK. Then tap your personal guarantee. (fortunately haven’t been there, …yet π
Didn’t fully understand that tenant has such power. Been lucky…. thx.

ParticipantDisbarred, big whoop. Being an ex-Pres trumps a bar license for lifestyle and earning potential.
Realistically, not much more they could have done to him.
