ParticipantI’ve lived in Harveston (renting) since 2005. It has a great, and I mean great location to the amenities of Temecula. The taxes are high… actually over 2% with todays prices, the owner of my home pays over 8k per year and the neighbors pay about 10k per year. HOA is around 140 I believe.
The homes are nice, especially the single stories, which are very rare. The lots are generally small, most are under 5k, the nicer areas average about 6500. I love renting here, but wouldn’t buy. Too many cars line the streets and block the homes, and I can see a bit of the elitist attitude mentioned before, but not too bad. All this on top of the high taxes, HOA, and home prices. Sure, I see it hitting under 100 per square in 2009.
