Okay I will concede that a house in escrow is not on the market but I will not concede that just because a house is in escrow it is sold. Especially in todays market.
GoUSCParticipantThere are legitimate reasons for shorter contracts. However…if a house has been forsale for 5 months and has been through 8 different brokers it should have a DOM of 5 months. A seller should not be able to pull a listing for 4 days from the MLS and throw it back up on the market and have the DOM reset. And a DOM shouldn’t reset because they have changed brokers. You know exactly what I was referring to.

GoUSCParticipantI disagree with calling homes in Escrow as out of the market nor do I agree with pendings. A house is not out of the market until it closes. The 12 expired might be looking at other brokers to relist or just pulling the DOM scheme that is so popular.
Point of my comments are that looking at a micro environment like three zip codes doesn’t really capture what is going on.

GoUSCParticipantLast time I checked San Diego really wasn’t on fire in terms of job growth & population growth…

GoUSCParticipant“Jingle Mail”…classic.
“Here you go Mr. Bank, now it’s your problem.”
sad though.

GoUSCParticipantI agree with one of the posters above…Why not keep your existing house and comfortable mortgage and put the kids in private school. I am a product of both Private school and La Jolla High School and although La Jolla High School was a great school, the private school opens more opportunities to kids than any public school can offer. Simple truth.

GoUSCParticipantWe will see if this translates to the high end areas of San Diego. I want to live in La Jolla.

I hate you San Diego (sometimes). 🙁
Oh and why has productivity gains not trickled down to the average person? Because the CEO of Exxon gets $400 million in bonuses. Bastards.
(yeah I am bitter a little bit)
