ParticipantI guess they will have that “debt” paid off in no time then. Perhaps MORE austerity?

B: Statutory relief from debt. In other words, a rollback of the regressive BK laws of the early 2000’s and probably some new laws that dramatically limit lender recourse on a national scale.[/quote]With a GOP controlled congress and soon most likely Senate and possibly presidency I cannot see the BK laws moving in any direction but being further tightened even to the point of bringing back debtors prisons.
What I am interested in is not 2012, but 2016. I believe the 2012 – 2016 timespan will test the United States as no other has and it will be interesting to see if the GOP survives. I generally vote R btw, but in recent years I cannot stand either party.

ParticipantNothing racist whatsoever. We have a group of people in our country illegally, often living in squalor in canyons and undercutting legitimate employees and contractors. We have a government which does not represent its citizens and at the behest of big corporate contributors is essentially looking the other way rather than enforcing the law.
Americans have a long long history of being addicted to cheap labor and exploiting those less fortunate and generally foreign and dark skinned, so in that regards hiring someone because you think they are Mexican and will accept poor working conditions and a less than going rate IS Racist.
