First, we used to own a little trailer we hooked onto the station wagon when we wanted to haul stuff from Home Depot.
Secondly, as I have mentioned before, Ford makes a diesel station wagon, we owned one in europe, that Cheney will not allow to be sold here in the US because it is “too dirty”. It gets fabulous diesel mileage, is sporty enough to zoom on the autobahn and is very clean.
Volkswagon has diesel Passats waiting at the port to be delivered. Cheney once again is blocking these fuel efficient cars.
I suppose these cars can’t be kept at the port forever. You SUV drivers will never sell your buckets once Cheney allows us to buy them (BTW there is no “free market” with weirdos like Cheney running our government).
Cheney knows these fuel efficient cars will soon get in, of course, that is why he keeps diesel much more expensive than regular gas. So that we all do not rush to buy them.

I think the housing market will not be able to sustain price growth until we have single payer health insurance in the US.
Working so hard to put money into a home, instead of blowing it on a cruise, is futile if anyone in your family cannot obtain health insurance. The hospitals will treat you, sure, but will then put a lein on your home.

March 22, 2008 at 1:43 PM in reply to: What am I missing? Is that a train coming at me or am I Chicken Little? #175189fuggyParticipantWant to hear a lyin’ realtor story? I was looking at a foreclosed house for sale with a realtor. I was calculating what I could earn renting it out. Nothing, I would be supporting the renters’ beach lifestyle.
So she says “I have investors in Orlando who buy homes in Titusville (florida)for $60,000, put $10,000 into them then rent them out to Section 8 for $1200 a month!”I went home and called Section 8 in Titusville. The most they ever pay, ALL bills paid for a big house is $750. Just the AC bill in summer could eat that up. They were dumbfounded at the realtor’s story. Me too!
