ParticipantI went out with Henry Rollin’s best friend Joe Cole a few times before he died (a few years later-I didn’t do it). Never met Henry though. I liked Rollins band too, but he lost me when he got into that spoken word stuff.
Allen- have you been to any shows lately and seen any good new bands? I’m so out of the loop now that I’m married with kids. The last time I was at a show was 2004 (I think?)- It was a black Flag reunion with Greg Ginn at the Palladium. Right before that I saw Gwar somewhere– If you haven’t seen them live you have to- they are hilarious.fredo4

ParticipantThat’s what I’ve heard. Realtors have been doing pretty well lately. That’s great, but you can never have too much publicity.

ParticipantEarly Dead Kennedys was unique and funny. Black Flag was in no way similar to them. If anything the Dead Kennedys copied black Flag when they got more hard core in their later albums.
I always kind of lumped Black Flag with the Circle Jerks and Fear.
I actually like early Husker Du too- then they got way more commercial and lame. Social Distortion, the Replacements, Husker Du- all overrated IMO.Rage Against the Machine cracks me up everytime I hear them.
When were they not all Noam Chomsky? That’s their whole raison d’etre.
