ParticipantThe (Nov 7th) post is an article from Gary watts. The guy who is infamous for claiming that 15% appreciation is “in the bag” for 2006.
I think that some day bullish blogs will eventually be right, but this guy is jumping into the shark-infested water way too early. The previous shark victims are still screaming.

ParticipantEd –
I wouldn’t paint all of Clairemont with the “too ugly” brush.
If you look at the western portions (including also Bay Ho and Bay Park) you are likely to find custom homes with Bay Views in your price range if not now, certainly by this time next year.November 8, 2007 at 8:09 AM in reply to: Expatriate from France to San Diego. ParticipantIf you’re going to spend that kind of money you mght as well spend it someplace that’s closer to work.
Amen to that. I don’t know much about North County, but I would gladly trade an extra 100K in home price and drive a beater car to have a short commute.

Participant“must drive by property before calling for additional information.”
This is a standard phrase that means that either the building is fugly or in a neighborhood where you are afraid to even stop your vehicle.
