Participant
seems like people in general feel more offended by inhuman treatment toward animals, even rats, than they do human beings. Not judging, just interesting…
I’m judging. Animals are following their instinctual survival behaviour.
If you think humans should not be held to a higher standard I wouldn’t want to be your neighbour.

Happened to me twice in our Phaeton (little F-ers love that car) at almost $1,500 a pop.
Happened to me just last year. About $600 of damage. Car insurance covered it. Comprehensive. Low deductible.
I’m covered. I just don’t make claims for stuff like that. Call me weired.

Participant
”US Dollar is doomed- there is no way we can meet all our spending obligations ”
Nonsense.
Run the NYTimes budget simulator, roll back the Bush Cuts, fix the militar spending, invest a bit in America and roll.
I don’t think the record speaks well for the concept that increasing taxes automatically leads to greater returns.
Maybe China will agree to cover our national defence so we can afford more European style socialism? Or maybe the Muslims?
