Participant1. Tell them that you’re using the deposit as last months rent and why.
2.Take plenty of pictures and a video of every square inch of the property after you’ve moved your furniture out and cleaned the place and let the landlord know that you did this.If they are stupid enough to sue you in small claims court and the place is in great shape, what grounds do they have for winning a lawsuit since the deposit must be returned to you anyway as long as the property is in normal, wear & tear condition?
