ParticipantCongrats. My wife and I are also looking in that area in 92130. I wish there were more properties on the market. We’ve been looking the past year or so in that area at 4/5 bedroom places and not too much we are seeing on the market. For the most part the same old inventory.
And I noticed the same thing that prices haven’t fallen much on really great houses in that area that have renovated kitchens and bathrooms and move in ready. Here is a house we liked but is sold. It sold for not much than the prices they purchased for in 2007.

Hopefully there is more on the market once we move there in a few months.
Good luck.

ParticipantWhy not just set up a Deleware LLC or a Nevada LLC and then purchase with that…..would kill many birds with one stone. I can’t figure out why more people in California don’t do this for privacy, asset/liability protection? Yeah, there are on-going fees and set up costs but it seems a no brainer but can’t see why more people don’t utilize this in California..am I missing something?

ParticipantPersonally I don’t see anything wrong with this guy going to jail for fraud (yes that is what it is that he did). I only wish many of the financial firms and bank CEO’s were in jail with him where they belong…
